Acer has launched a smart bike plus desk called eKinekt BD3 at the CES event. In this, along with exercise, you can do any office work and charge gadgets. Actually, pedals have been given in this fitness bike which convert the kinetic energy generated by you while pedaling into electrical energy and then it charges your gadgets. According to the company, if you pedal continuously at 60 rpm for 1 hour, it generates about 75 watts of power.
Gadgets will be charged with paddle
In this smart bike cum desk, you get an LCD display in which you can track your fitness record. Like how many calories you have burnt, how much distance you have covered and how much power has been generated by you. While you exercise while pedaling, on the other hand your electric gadgets get charged by it. You can also attend any important meeting by keeping your laptop on the smart desk of this machine. You can also run this smart bike cum desk of Acer through the app. If you want, you can put your personal records like height, weight, gender, age etc. in this machine through the app. Its companion app also records your workout history so you can see how much progress you’ve made in terms of fitness compared to previous days.
Two modes are available in the machine
Acer gives you two modes in the smart bike cum desk, in which the first is sports and the second is work mode. When you select the work mode, your chair automatically moves towards the desk and you can easily work sitting on it. Along with work, you can also do light excise by pedaling. This smart bike cum desk from Acer will be available for sale in Taiwan from April. Its price in Taiwan is 29000 NTD. That is, in Indian rupees, the machine will come around Rs.80,000.
